Summer I-95 Road Trip – Massachusetts

Read about my road trip >>>

I was born in the Bay State and it’s one of my favorite states.  I like the history, the food, the scenery, and the vibe.  There’s Plymouth Rock, Lizzie Borden, the Boston Tea Party, Bunker Hill, Paul Revere, Cape Cod, clam chowder, the Kennedys, Walden Pond, the Mayflower and mayflowers (the state flower), witches, cranberries, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and the Red Sox.

It’s a wicked cool state.  If you’re not familiar with New England slang, “wicked” replaces “really” and “very.”

Route 95 enters Massachusetts in Attleboro and heads North East and around the west side of Boston.

There’s not a bridge of note for 87 miles until the Whittier Bridge over the Merrimack River.  Construction is being finished up now on the replacement bridge.  It’s not a short bridge and not a long bridge, but looks just right to zoom over.  Then another 3 miles into New Hampshire.

Two to states to go!
